Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Lines. Responsibilities include managing a book of business, renewals, policy administration, billing, and service excellence across remote Eastern/Central time zones with on-site support in Longwood, FL as needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in account management (or 7+ in insurance), active licensing (CIC preferred), and strong analytical and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to service requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
