Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, drive retention, and support new business. This remote-friendly role covers Eastern and Central Time Zones, with Longwood, FL as location/working support, and requires strong insurance brokerage knowledge and licensing.

You will lead a team, ensure service excellence, renewals, and data integrity in agency systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to service requests.
