Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, drive retention, and support new business development. You will coordinate daily admin, service requests, and complex issue resolution while serving as a subject matter expert for the team.

The role demands strong client service, analytical skills, and leadership to guide the account management process and ensure accurate policy administration and renewals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in account management; 7+ years in insurance preferred.
• Active licensing required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving issues.
• Lead account management team and maintain policy administration, billing and renewals.
• Monitor policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor aging reports and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues.
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to service requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership as IOA values champion.
