Job summary

Skydio, the US drone company, is seeking a Senior 3D Generalist to join our Brand Creative team on a full-time, three-month contract. You will lead photorealistic visualizations from CAD data to finished imagery, supporting keynote and product-launch assets.

You will work hands-on in Blender to create renders, animations, and real-time assets, collaborating with design, marketing, and engineering. This role requires strong materials, lighting, and compositing skills to communicate product form

Qualifications

• Portfolio with photorealistic hard-surface product renders
• Experience with CAD-derived visualization from engineering data
• Strong shader, lighting, and material-development skills

Responsibilities

• Create photorealistic product renderings and animations
• Develop production-ready visuals from CAD models in Blender
• Prepare complex CAD-derived geometry for optimization
• Maintain material accuracy across the visualization
• Build realistic materials in Blender and Substance Painter
• Create studio or environment lighting for product detail
• Produce both studio and in-situ product visuals
• Create product animations showing assembly and operation
• Composite final imagery in Photoshop; motion graphics in After Effects
• Adapt assets for multiple outputs and real-time viewers
• Export and validate glTF/GLB assets for web
