Job summary

This role involves remote collaboration with technical teams to fix vulnerabilities and document compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in information security, knowledge of NIST RMF, and hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information security experience.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA and RMF.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus or Qualys.
• Security certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP or CISM.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors security controls for systems and applications.
• Performs vulnerability scans and tracks remediation of findings.
• Supports Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities under the RMF.
• Develops and updates security documentation such as SSPs and POA&Ms.
• Reviews audit logs and responds to security incidents.
• Advises development and operations teams on secure configurations and practices.
• Supports security awareness and compliance reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
