Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is hiring a Senior Security and Compliance Specialist for a remote role focused on security, risk management, and regulatory compliance across federal technology programs. You will collaborate with government stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams to implement robust security practices and maintain documentation.

The position requires 7+ years in cybersecurity, strong RMF/FISMA/NIST 800-53 knowledge, and professional certifications such as Security+ and CISSP or CISM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 7+ years of experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience and at least 2 years with security and compliance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of NIST RMF, FISMA, and NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
• CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or CISM certification.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and eligible for Public Trust background investigations.
• Previous favorable Public Trust determination or federal customer suitability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support security, risk management, and regulatory compliance across complex federal technology programs.
• Collaborate with technical teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders to ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement security and compliance strategies and provide SME guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Assist with Authorization to Operate (ATO) preparation, maintenance, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Maintain security documentation, POA&Ms, and GRC artifacts for audits and reviews.
