Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Service Technician in Chantilly, VA to troubleshoot and service security systems, including burglar alarms, CCTV, and card access. You will work independently from a remote location, provide customers with high level service, and communicate status to the customer care center.

Responsibilities include locating and repairing damaged equipment, coordinating inspections with authorities, preparing trouble orders, and delivering timely quotes and effective

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience installing, inspecting and servicing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access, CCTV and IP cameras.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.
• Electrical/Electronic background is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service commercial security systems including burglar, fire, CCTV and card access.
• Readjust, repair or replace damaged equipment and test operation.
• Coordinate inspections with authorities and prepare trouble order forms.
• Provide quotes and solutions to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
