Job summary

GetixHealth is seeking an experienced Security Engineer II, SecOps to join our Information Technology team. This mid-level role focuses on implementing and improving security controls across cloud, endpoint, network, identity, and application environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience in healthcare or regulated environments, partnering with IT, Compliance, and GRC to strengthen controls and respond to security events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security operations.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, IAM, cloud security, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain security controls across cloud, endpoint, network, identity, and applications.
• Monitor and investigate security alerts, incidents, and suspicious activity.
• Develop detections, alerts, dashboards, and automated response workflows.
• Support penetration testing, security assessments, and remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security in CI/CD pipelines.
