Job summary

Polsinelli PC in Atlanta, GA seeks a Security Engineer to oversee secure operations of hybrid infrastructure and cloud services. You will implement CIS controls, perform threat hunting, and drive security design improvements across applications and platforms.

The role offers a remote work option while requiring reliability and collaboration with cross-functional teams. A bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of security experience are expected along with hands-on SIEM skills.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in on-prem security environments.
• 2-4 years in security engineering roles.
• Experience with Metrics, Events, and Logging (Splunk-like).
• Degree or equivalent experience in CS/IS/Engineering.
• Microsoft AD with Azure experience.
• Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Configure security for operating environments using CIS best practices.
• Perform penetration testing and threat hunting to identify risks.
• Monitor and respond to incidents in the Firm's hybrid environment.
• Improve security technologies and keep infrastructure current.
• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure tooling.
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to enhance cyber resilience.
• Support security architecture alignment with CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST.
• Identify and define security requirements for network systems.
• Plan, engineer, and monitor security implementations of network systems.
• Configure and implement network security tools.
• Test and provide solutions for weaknesses and threats.
• Research new technologies to improve system security.
• Audit existing network configurations and propose improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
