Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP seeks a Security Engineer to support and strengthen IT security operations across the firm. You will maintain security controls, participate in incident response, and promote secure practices throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to assess risk, recommend improvements, and collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance the firm’s security posture. A hybrid remote/in-office arrangement is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT security experience in a Microsoft Windows/enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint monitoring and response.
• Experience implementing or monitoring EDR and MDR solutions.
• Knowledge of security monitoring, threat hunting, vulnerability management and incident response.
• 2+ years of network security experience.
• Ability to explain security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a hybrid remote/in-office environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish, monitor, and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Maintain security infrastructure and tools including endpoint protection and detection/response platforms.
• Investigate security alerts and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• Monitor risk trends and update policies and tools accordingly.
• Coordinate protective measures including system scans and follow-up remediation.
• Provide security guidance to IT and business teams.
