Job summary

Exeon Analytics is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Solutions team. You will help design data flows and deployment strategies for our core products, balancing on-prem and hybrid environments and ensuring reliable operation across diverse customer setups.

You will build ingestion pipelines, automate deployment, and work directly with customers to translate their data sources into actionable security capabilities, while contributing to documentation and runbooks in a largely remote team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in systems, data, or platform/infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with network and application security telemetry for detection.
• Unix/Linux experience including networking, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in containerized deployments.
• Strong Python and Bash programming with a focus on automation and production-quality code.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating data ingestion pipelines (syslog, Logstash/Fluentd/Vector, Elastic stack) with heterogeneous formats and high volumes.
• Comfortable working in a largely remote team with English as the main language; German proficiency helpful for some customers.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Nice to have: solid understanding of security fundamentals and familiarity with SIEM/SOAR tools and MITRE ATT&CK.

Responsibilities

• Build tooling and automation to simplify deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Exeon.NDR, Exeon.UEBA, log collection and supporting components.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable log ingestion pipelines for diverse log sources and formats, including parsing, normalization, and validation.
• Deploy and operate Exeon in customer environments (on-prem, private cloud, and hybrid), including sizing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Work with customers to understand data sources, infrastructure constraints, and security needs, translating them into clear product/engineering requirements.
• Contribute to customer support, documentation, and runbooks alongside Solutions colleagues.
