Job summary

Verizon seeks a Dynamic Application Security Testing engineer to join a remote team focused on ethical hacking, vulnerability identification, and automation across web, mobile, and API platforms.

You will integrate tools into Jenkins and GitLab, write automation scripts, and apply AI to enhance testing and triage bug bounty submissions, while collaborating with engineering teams on remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years in Application Security, Penetration Testing, or DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of web application architecture, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and mobile security.
• OWASP Top 10, CWEs, CVSS, and manual validation/exploitation.
• Experience with Burp Suite Pro and OWASP ZAP in CI/CD.
• Experience integrating tools into Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Python and Bash automation scripting.
• Docker and AWS deployment/management.
• Ability to explain vulnerabilities to software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Integrate dynamic analysis tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Python, Java, and Bash.
• Leverage AI to build testing capabilities and triage bug bounty submissions.
• Deploy and maintain containerized testing environments using Docker and AWS.
• Guide engineering teams to identify and remediate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Triage bug bounty submissions and support incident response efforts.
• Perform ethical hacking against web, mobile, and API targets to find vulnerabilities.
