Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Security Advisor to assess and report on customer environments, policies, and infrastructure for information security and compliance across frameworks such as NIST, ISO, PCI DSS.

You will consult onsite and remotely, perform gap analyses, advise remediation, and support sales with security expertise. This remote role requires up to 50% travel and a US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of information security/privacy experience.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIA, GSNA.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, NIST CSF, ISO 27000, GLBA, GDPR, PCI DSS.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer environments for security and compliance.
• Perform gap analyses of controls and programs.
• Review requirements with providers to meet information security objectives.
• Recommend remediation steps to achieve objectives.
• Review customer documents and provide feedback or assist with reporting obligations.
• This is a remote role; travel up to 50% may be required.
• Support sales/marketing with security expertise.
• Prepare and deliver security-related presentations/webcasts.
