Job summary

ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer for mission-focused government programs in a classified environment. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and sustaining secure software systems across enterprise and cyber domains.

You will work on search/data discovery, ICAM, and embedded/hardware-adjacent tasks, with front-end work in Angular. Active Secret clearance is required, and the position supports remote work.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering production software in secure or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure applications and services supporting Government mission systems.
• Lead or contribute to full software lifecycle activities: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, sustainment.
• Build and enhance Java-based back-end systems, APIs, and web services in secure environments.
• Develop secure data discovery/search capabilities (e.g., Elasticsearch and Lucene-based approaches).
• Support ICAM / authorization solutions (OpenAM/ForgeRock or similar).
• Develop and integrate front-end components as needed (e.g., Angular).
• Implement and maintain automated testing and quality practices (JUnit/TestNG), code reviews, and CI/CD-aligned workflows.
• Troubleshoot and deploy systems in Linux and Windows environments; provide operational support and root-cause analysis.
• Produce clear technical documentation (design notes, runbooks, interface documentation, user/admin guides).
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, system engineers, and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
