ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Developer to deliver secure software in a government, classified environment.

The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and sustaining Java-based back-end systems and APIs with emphasis on security and ICAM integration. The position requires Active Secret Clearance, experience with secure development lifecycles, and the ability to work in remote, mission-critical programs.

Qualifications

• Production software in secure or regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on Java development for enterprise applications, web services, and APIs.
• Designing and implementing secure architectures (authentication/authorization, encryption, access controls).
• Working knowledge of Linux administration, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in additional languages: C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL) and data persistence patterns.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure applications and services for Government mission systems.
• Lead or participate in full software lifecycle activities: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, sustainment.
• Build and enhance Java-based back-end systems, APIs, and web services in secure environments.
• Develop secure data discovery capabilities (Elasticsearch/Lucene) and search features.
• Support ICAM/identity management work streams and authorization solutions.
• Develop and integrate front-end components as needed (Angular/related frameworks).
• Implement and maintain automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Troubleshoot and deploy across Linux and Windows environments; provide operational support and root-cause analysis.
• Produce clear technical documentation and collaborate with cybersecurity and systems engineers in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
