Qualifications

• Has and maintains a Special Education Utah educator license.
• Utah residency required.
• Demonstrates multi-cultural awareness.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft and Google suites.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Student-centered approach.
• Adapts easily to change.
• Works well in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborates and works independently.
• Willingness to travel for school events (occasional overnight travel).
• Distraction-free workspace with reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Ability to use a personal device and email for 2-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide instructional guidance for a caseload of students.
• Develop, write and help implement IEPs and 504 plans.
• Evaluate tests, complete report cards and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches to ensure IEP goals are met.
• Coordinate with teachers to implement specially designed instruction per IEP.
• Provide direct services via web-conferencing as needed.
• Schedule and conduct IEP meetings in a virtual environment.
• Participate in the Student Support Team and develop program modifications.
• Assist with paperwork, documentation and procedures for the IEP process.
• Assist locating service providers and negotiating contracts for related services.
• Maintain accurate data in the Learning Management System and special education software.
• Administer state testing and coordinate required adaptations per IEP.
• Other duties as assigned.
