Job summary

Utah Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school serving grades K–12, seeks a Secondary Special Education Interventionist to deliver explicit instruction to students from a home office in Utah. The role combines face-to-face guidance via online tools with traditional teaching practices to identify struggling learners and apply targeted supports.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers and families, write and implement IEPs and 504 plans, coordinate assessments, and participate

Qualifications

• Must hold a Utah Special Education license.
• Experience with IEPs and 504 plans.
• Strong technical skills with Microsoft and Google suites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional guidance for a caseload of students.
• Develop, write and help implement IEPs and 504 plans.
• Evaluate tests, complete report cards and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents/learning coaches to ensure IEP goals are met.
• Coordinate with teachers for specially designed instruction as per IEP.
• Provide direct services via web-conferencing as needed.
• Schedule and conduct IEP-related meetings in a virtual environment.
• Participate in the Student Support Team and develop program modifications.
• Assist with paperwork and procedures for the IEP process.
• Locate service providers and negotiate contracts for related services.
