Job summary

TaxAct, a Taxwell company, is seeking a remote Seasonal Full Service Support professional to help customers gather documents and prepare federal and state returns using our tax software. This role emphasizes accurate document collection and clear guidance to maximize tax outcomes.

You will answer questions via phone, chat and email, support clients through documentation, and ensure completeness and accuracy while maintaining privacy and compliance standards. Prior tax prep experience is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preparing individual tax returns (Form 1040), including federal and state returns.
• Valid PTIN issued by the IRS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying and gathering the appropriate tax documents needed to complete their returns.
• Answer questions related to tax forms and income documents (W-2s, 1099s) and deductions.
• Provide clear, professional support via phone, chat and email during the early stages of tax return preparation.
