Job summary

REI Co-op is seeking a seasonal remote Customer Service Representative to handle inbound calls and provide expert guidance to customers and members from home. You will use product knowledge and problem‑solving skills to deliver positive, accurate resolutions while maintaining REI’s service standards.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with retail or call center experience, and able to attend virtual training. Schedule requires 24 hours per week with shifts between 10am–8pm, Mon–Fri and some weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail and/or customer service call center preferred.
• Available to attend a virtual two week sales and service training class.
• Reside in a state with an REI Retail location for the duration of the position.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule with reliable and predictable attendance.
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound phone calls during your shift, up to 8 hours a day.
• Provide guidance, knowledge and authentic experiences to customers.
• Apply passion for the outdoors and REI products to serve customers effectively.
• Build relationships with customers and teammates both inside and outside the organization.
