Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join cross-functional product teams developing and modernizing federal digital services on AWS GovCloud. The role is hands-on, automation-first, and operates in a fully remote setup across the CONUS.

The candidate will design, build, and maintain automated tests for stories, regression suites, and end-to-end scenarios, and contribute to test strategy, performance testing, and QA processes within a Scrum team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Must reside within CONUS and be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Proven test automation experience with multiple frameworks.
• Experience with AWS and cloud services is preferred.
• Familiarity with Jira, Xray, and Confluence for test management.

Responsibilities

• Plan testing for each story and maintain automated tests.
• Lead the creation of regression, end-to-end, and performance tests.
• Implement tests in CI/CD pipelines and coordinate with DevOps.
• Maintain and audit regression suites and test coverage.
