Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in the United States is seeking a seasoned Scrum Master for a devices/hardware or software focus. You will coordinate an Agile development team, facilitate sprint ceremonies, and ensure alignment with client product management.

This role requires 7+ years in engineering, a technical degree, and a Certified ScrumMaster. You will remove impediments, balance resources, and drive delivery across multiple engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.
• Hands-on Scrum Master with cross-functional Agile teams.
• Experience across Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Embedded Systems & Mechatronics, Software Dev & Validation.
• Proficiency in Scrum tools (e.g. JIRA).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate scrum activities (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, board reviews, retrospectives).
• Break down work into substories, tasks, spikes, etc.
• Assist in building the deliverables schedule (PMO owner for schedule).
• Resource mapping and capacity planning.
• Balance resources if the schedule requires more capacity.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements.
• Act as a liaison between development teams and product management.
• Identify and remove impediments to the scrum process.
• Manage backlog and processes with team members.
• Escalate risks beyond the development group when needed.
