Job summary

Pearson is hiring remote scorers to evaluate Florida teacher candidate responses according to scoring standards. You must have a bachelor’s degree and appropriate teaching credentials, with 5+ years in relevant service. The role is remote, with daytime EST hours and a starting rate of $17.50 per hour.

Qualified candidates will be approved to score by the Florida Department of Education and work on a weekday schedule. Training is provided before scoring begins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required
• Current teaching certificate in subject area and five+ years in service role in public school
• Alternatively: degree plus five years teaching at college/university in same subject area

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with scorers
• Meet quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program
• Scoring is remote with sessions Mon-Fri from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM EST
• Starting pay rate is $17.50 per hour
