Job summary

Parallel Learning is seeking a New York licensed School Social Worker for a fully remote, part-time, 1099 contract position. The assignment requires approximately two consistent school days per week with flexible weekday scheduling to align with other providers.

You will provide individual social work services per IEPs, support around 11 K–6 students, and collaborate with families and school staff. Sessions are 30 minutes and focused on developing coping, social, and executive functioning skills.

Qualifications

• Active NY LCSW license and NY school social work certification.
• Minimum one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience.
• Experience providing counseling and behavioral interventions in schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual social work services according to each student’s IEP.
• Support approximately 11 students in grades K-6 within a Pre-K-6 school.
• Help students build coping, social, peer interaction, and executive functioning skills.
• Provide 30-minute individual sessions; some students twice weekly.
• Schedule consultation time with teachers and school staff.
• Collaborate with families, educators, IEP teams, and related service providers.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
