Job summary

Parallel is seeking a Maine Licensed School Social Worker for a fully remote, part-time assignment to support students at one elementary school. The role involves approximately two days per week with flexible weekdays to coordinate with other providers.

You will provide 30-minute individual sessions, work with about 11 students in grades K–6, and collaborate with families, educators, and IEP teams, documenting outcomes and progress in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Active LCSW license is required.
• Maine license or certification for school social work practice is required.
• Minimum of one year full-time school social work experience.
• Experience counseling and supporting social-emotional and behavioral needs in school settings.
• Experience collaborating with IEP teams and service providers.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Private workspace with reliable tech to support remote work.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual social work services aligned with each student’s IEP.
• Support approximately 11 students in a Pre-K–6 school via remote sessions.
• Conduct 30-minute individual sessions; some students twice weekly, others weekly.
• Schedule collaboration time with teachers and school staff.
• Collaborate with families, educators, IEP teams, and related providers.
• Complete required progress notes and service logs.
