Job summary

Zions Bancorporation is seeking an SBA Underwriter to underwrite SBA loan products (7a, Express, 504) and prepare credit packages for approval. The role may be remote within the company footprint or in-office near Midvale, UT, with strong emphasis on risk assessment and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a finance or related degree and 1+ year underwriting experience, plus solid skills in financial statement analysis and loan structuring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field.
• 1+ year of commercial or small business underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of SBA loan requirements and lending policies.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and loan-to-value data.
• Strong judgment, confidentiality and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite SBA loans (7a, Express, 504) per SBA SOP and bank policies.
• Prepare credit packages with spreads, cash flow, collateral values.
• Present analyses to Credit Approvers with Relationship Manager.
• Assess risk and determine approvals/denials for commercial loans.
• Collaborate with Relationship Manager on complex loan structuring.
