Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. seeks a high-performing Project Engineer to lead development, testing, and delivery of mission-critical satellite flight software for a US Government program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Master's degree preferred in the same fields.
• Minimum 7 years of aerospace/defense engineering experience; 4+ years in project engineering or technical lead.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering lifecycle for satellite flight software from design to delivery.
• Track labor, costs, and performance metrics against the baseline using EVMS.
• Develop and own the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for software milestones.
• Provide technical direction to matrixed teams including software and systems engineers.
• Interface with US Government customers for reviews, status, and milestones.
• Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and cost risks; escalate blockers.
• Ensure software processes align with AS9100, CMMI, and mission standards.
