Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc is seeking a senior software engineer to develop spacecraft flight software, applying strong embedded software and C/C++ expertise across the full lifecycle.

You will contribute to mission concept development, modeling and simulation, and proposal writing in a small team. This role supports fully remote opportunities across the United States with preferred locations and requires ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas.
• Preferred: Masters in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade existing flight software for new missions.
• Develop in-house tools to analyze flight software performance.
• Develop and execute flight software tests at unit, module, subsystem, and platform levels.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to install onto hardware-in-the-loop test environment and flight hardware.
• Participate in anomaly resolution and patch flight software.
• Contribute to systems- and mission-level modeling and simulation tools.
