Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to develop and sustain spacecraft flight software. The role emphasizes embedded C/C++ expertise and real-time systems in a remote-capable environment across the United States.

The candidate will participate in the full flight software life cycle, contribute to modeling/simulation, and support proposal writing and new business initiatives. Active security clearance is highly desirable and citizenship may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field.
• Masters in STEM preferred.
• 8+ years with bachelor's or 6+ with master's in aerospace software/hardware.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade and develop satellite flight software for Airbus U.S. platforms.
• Develop in-house tools to analyze flight software performance and conops alignment.
• Develop and test flight software across unit to platform levels; support HIL testing.
• Contribute to systems and mission-level modeling and simulation tools.
