Job summary

ShellBlack is hiring a Salesforce Consultant for a remote, full-time role. You will work independently on discovery, design, and hands-on implementation on the Salesforce platform.

The ideal candidate has Salesforce consulting experience, 2+ certifications, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to own engagements from discovery to delivery. This role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• Salesforce consulting experience in a client-facing environment.
• 2+ active Salesforce certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience preferred.
• Currently residing in and authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery conversations to understand business processes, challenges, requirements, and desired outcomes.
• Translate client needs into thoughtful, scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Design and build Salesforce solutions hands-on, including configuration, automation, testing, and implementation.
• Partner with clients and technical team members throughout data migrations to confirm field mappings, document data transformation rules and logic, and validate migrated data for accuracy; data extraction, scripting, and loading are handled by other technical resources.
• Evaluate requirements critically rather than simply building what is requested — helping clients identify the right solution to the underlying problem.
• Own client work from discovery and solution design through hands-on build, testing, and delivery.
• Manage project responsibilities, priorities, timelines, scope, budgets, and billable commitments with a high degree of independence and accountability.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding progress, decisions, risks, scope, budgets, and next steps.
• Develop project estimates, solution recommendations, and release plans independently or in partnership with other team members.
• Troubleshoot unfamiliar problems, research possible approaches, and use available resources and modern tools thoughtfully to reach well-reasoned solutions.
• Document work clearly so clients and fellow consultants can understand, maintain, and build upon it.
• Build trusted client relationships through technical expertise, thoughtful recommendations, integrity, and a shared investment in client success.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, knowledge sharing, accountability, and support.
