Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a remote life insurance sales professional to work from home as an independent contractor (1099). Veterans and military spouses are welcome. You will help families understand their options, guide them through the application, and manage the process from initial contact to underwriting decisions.

You’ll operate from your home office, schedule your own day, and stay compliant with state rules while building relationships across a broad carrier base.

Qualifications

• Must have a state life insurance license or plan to get licensed before your first sale.
• Authorized to work in the United States (18+).
• Comfortable holding appointments by phone or video from home.

Responsibilities

• Call or video-chat with people who already requested life insurance information.
• Learn each household's situation and priorities before showing an option.
• Explain coverage choices in plain language, then complete the application together.
• Follow every application through underwriting and keep the family updated until a decision.
• Log each conversation and next step in the CRM as it happens.
• Keep up with ongoing training on products, carriers, and state rules.
