Job summary

Scientific Search is seeking an ambitious Sales Engineer to join a growing technical sales team supporting critical industries such as aerospace, energy, and industrial manufacturing. This remote Eastern U.S.-based role offers mentorship and a path to larger territories while leveraging a technical background and sales experience.

You will develop new business, manage existing accounts, and learn the full sales cycle from lead generation to close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field is preferred.
• 4–6 years of professional experience with exposure to technical or industrial sales.
• Demonstrated ability or strong interest in hunting / new business development.
• Experience selling into OEMs or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to navigate a multi-step sales process.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business across OEMs and industrial customers.
• Support and grow a portfolio of existing accounts across the Eastern U.S.
• Learn and execute the full sales cycle, from lead generation through close.
• Partner with internal teams (Engineering, Customer Service, Operations) to support customer needs.
• Maintain CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and basic forecasting.
• Attend trade shows and customer visits to build relationships and brand presence.
• Travel approximately 30-40% (primarily within the U.S.).
