Job summary

Scientific Search is seeking an early-career Sales Engineer to join a growing technical sales team supporting aerospace, energy, and industrial manufacturing. The role focuses on developing new business and supporting existing accounts across advanced welding and hard-facing technologies.

You will prospect across OEMs, manage a portfolio in the Eastern U.S., learn the full sales cycle, and collaborate with Engineering, Customer Service, and Operations to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field preferred.
• Experience selling into OEMs or manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to navigate a multi-step sales process.
• Eager to learn complex technical products; coatings or welding knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business across OEMs and industrial customers.
• Support and grow a portfolio of existing accounts across the Eastern U.S.
• Learn and execute the full sales cycle, from lead generation through close.
• Partner with internal teams (Engineering, Customer Service, Operations) to support customer needs.
• Maintain CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and basic forecasting.
• Attend trade shows and customer visits to build relationships and brand presence.
