Novanta is a global leader in precision-engineered components and subsystems, seeking a commercially driven Sales Engineer to accelerate growth across Germany and selective EMEA markets. You’ll engage directly with OEMs, translating complex motion-control concepts into reliable, high-performing solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• Experience selling highly engineered products or solutions into OEM customers.
• Strong technical understanding of motion control technologies, including motors, encoders, drives or related automation products.
• Experience supporting customers through complex qualification or design‑in processes.
• A track record of managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
• Experience within at least two of Robotics, Medical Robotics, Semiconductor Metrology, Satellite Communications.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer relationship skills.
• Fluency in German and English is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Growing revenue, bookings and strategic customer relationships across Germany.
• Developing and executing territory and account growth plans.
• Identifying and converting new business opportunities with OEM customers.
• Managing complex technical sales cycles and design‑win opportunities.
• Collaborating with engineering, quality, procurement, product management and executive stakeholders.
• Negotiating commercial agreements with new and existing customers.
• Providing accurate forecasting and opportunity management through Salesforce.
• Working closely with colleagues across Novanta’s global commercial organisation.
