Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Sales Data Analyst to empower the sales team with dashboards and reports using BI tools, CRM, and other reporting software. You will perform ad-hoc analyses and translate data into clear visuals for internal stakeholders.

This role requires collaboration across departments, attention to detail, and a focus on data quality and standardized reporting to drive data-driven decision-making.

Travel up to 10% is possible, and the position may be remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience preferably within sales analytics.
• Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Quicksight.
• A strong knowledge of SQL as well as advanced Excel skills.
• Experience or exposure to modern data stack tools like dbt (Data Build Tool) or cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight) to provide actionable insights for the sales team and leadership
• Perform ad-hoc analyses using Excel and other data analysis tools to support various sales initiatives and answer key business questions
• Summarize data effectively into presentations, incorporating insightful visuals and commentary to communicate findings clearly
• Assist in tracking and reporting on global sales KPIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across regions
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency
• Build productive internal relationships with team members and stakeholders across different departments
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of sales data by conducting regular data quality checks and validation
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of standardized reports, ensuring consistency and reliability in data presentation
• Enable data-driven decision-making by providing insights that inform sales strategies and performance
