Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Travel Consultant to join our highly skilled remote team serving corporate clients. You’ll leverage Sabre GDS proficiency and a strong service mindset to advise on and book domestic and international travel while ensuring policy compliance and excellent customer experience.

The role requires proactive problem solving, clear communication, and teamwork, with flexibility for afternoon shifts and weekends as part of our 24/7 Traveler Care

Qualifications

• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs.
• Progressive experience as a Travel Consultant with proven track record in client service delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in Sabre GDS (native-level expertise required).
• Strong understanding of travel industry dynamics, booking procedures, and supplier relationships.
• Professional communication (written and verbal).
• Attention to detail.
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information.
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier.
• Teamwork and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups).
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services.
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations.
• Use various Global Distribution Systems (Sabre).
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests.
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels.
