Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Payroll Administrator to manage accurate and timely payroll processing from home. You will maintain payroll records, ensure compliance with South African regulations, and support HR and finance with payroll data integrity.

The role requires 3+ years of payroll experience, proficiency with VIP/Sage/PaySpace, and strong Excel skills, in a remote setting with strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
• Proficiency with payroll software systems (VIP Payroll, Sage VIP, PaySpace) and advanced Excel skills.
• Thorough understanding of South African payroll regulations and tax laws.
• Matric certificate with emphasis on mathematics or accounting.
• Payroll qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
• Maintain payroll records and handle new hires, terminations, and changes to pay or deductions.
• Calculate and process UIF, PAYE, and SDL where applicable.
• Prepare payroll reports for management and authorities.
• Address employee queries regarding payroll and deductions.
• Conduct regular payroll audits for accuracy and discrepancies.
