Job summary

Feldera, a remote-first data platform company, is seeking a Rust backend engineer to own and evolve connector ecosystems. You will build and maintain connectors with Delta Lake, Iceberg, Kafka, and Postgres, diving into storage formats, wire protocols, and change-data-capture to deliver fast, correct adapters.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Rust or equivalent systems programming experience.
• Experience building data integrations, connectors, or pipelines in production.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Postgres, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of data serialization formats (Avro/JSON/Protobuf) and table formats.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Feldera's connector ecosystem.
• Build robust CDC ingestion that produces correct, ordered streams.
• Design and improve the connector framework and tooling.
• Work with formats, protocols, and storage layouts to integrate systems efficiently.
• Ensure reliability, fault tolerance, and no data loss.
