Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Network Specialist I - Route Acquisition to secure rights of occupancy, permits, easements, and collocation for network construction. You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to prepare, negotiate, and finalize agreements and records.

This role involves GIS mapping, data management, and coordinating with permit authorities, utilities, and contractors, with flexibility for telecommuting and proximity to Seattle, Olympia, or Tacoma.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) or 2+ years of professional work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Permits: research requirements, communicate with authorities, prepare applications, and secure rights before construction.
• Easements & Right of Entry: negotiate, prepare documents, obtain signatures, record updates.
• Lease work: assist with negotiation, payments, location issues, and documentation.
• Support special projects and initiatives and cross‑team collaboration.
• Support operations: vendor management, metrics, reporting, scheduling, and customer service.
