Job summary

TDS Telecom seeks a Network Specialist I - Route Acquisition in the Seattle area. You will secure rights of occupancy for real property and coordinate facility placements ahead of construction.

You will work with internal teams, contractors, and authorities to obtain permits, easements, and leases as required by law and policy. The role requires 3+ years networking experience, an associate degree or higher, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) or 2+ years professional work experience.
• 3+ years experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Permits: research requirements, communicate with authorities, attend meetings, field work, scope/estimate, create tasks, data collection, prepare applications, negotiate fees, secure rights ahead of construction, update GIS records.
• Easements & Right of Entry: research requirements, scope/estimate work, ensure compliance, negotiate with property owners, prepare documents, obtain signatures, notary, payments, recording, update GIS records.
• Lease work: assist with negotiation, alerts, payments, W9 issues, location issues, ownership changes, records research, calls, document prep.
• Assist with Special Projects and Initiatives (committees, mandates, programs).
• Assist with Operations (vendor and risk management, metrics, reports, scheduling, communications)
• Any other responsibilities or tasks as assigned to support goals.
