Job summary

TDS Telecom seeks a Network Specialist I - Route Acquisition to secure rights of way and coordinate permits for real property and facilities placement, in support of construction projects. You will work with internal teams and external authorities to ensure timely approvals and accurate documentation.

The role requires real estate, GIS, and engineering awareness, with telecommuting flexibility and preference for candidates near Seattle, Olympia, or Tacoma.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) or 2+ years professional work experience.
• 3+ years experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Permits research and submission for rights-of-entry, easements, and leases.
• Negotiate and secure rights ahead of construction; coordinate with authorities and vendors.
• Assist with Special Projects, vendor risk management, and reporting of metrics.
• Interface with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project goals.
• Maintain records, GIS data, and documentation to ensure compliance and timeliness.
