Job summary

TDS Telecom seeks a Network Specialist I - Route Acquisition to secure rights of occupancy for proposed facilities and for co-location needs. The role involves permits, easements, leases, and interactions with property owners, authorities, and contractors across the Seattle/Olympia/Tacoma region.

Telecommuting flexibility is available; preferred candidates live within commuting distance of Tacoma, Seattle, or Olympia. Strong knowledge of real estate and GIS is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience.
• 3+ years experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Permits coordination and interactions with permit authorities, meetings, field work and travel; prepare applications; secure rights ahead of construction.
• Easements and Right of Entry Agreements research, negotiate, document and record updates.
• Lease work: negotiate, alerts, payments, location issues, ownership changes, records research.
• Assist with Special Projects and Initiatives as needed; support operations with vendor and risk management.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet project goals and deadlines.
