Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Roof & Wall Estimator to provide take-offs and detailed material lists for pricing publicly bid projects. You will use company pricing tools to produce accurate estimates, clarify scope, and coordinate with Builders, Sales, and Engineering to meet lead-time goals.

The role requires strong math, blueprints reading, and Excel proficiency, with a customer-centric mindset and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines to completion.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Proficiency with estimating takeoff tools and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepares estimates from drawings, specs, and addenda using in-house pricing software.
• Identifies exclusions and scope clarifications to qualify quotations.
• Implements adds/deducts or alternates beyond current pricing capabilities.
• Ensures use of current pricing information in estimates.
• Maintains vendor/customer relationships and coordinates with internal teams.
• Communicates scope/design clarifications to relevant stakeholders.
• Adapts estimates for remote work environments when applicable.
• Other duties as required.
• Reports to Estimating Manager or Team Leader.
• Travel typically 2 times per year or less.
