The role involves analyzing roof tech checklists, blueprints, and specifications to produce competitive bids with thorough risk assessment and profitable scope.

The estimator will research labor and material costs, solicit quotes, and present detailed cost breakdowns to clients and internal teams, ensuring site data is accurate and bids meet project

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in Edge Estimating Software performing takeoffs, labor calculations, and materials calculations.
• Proven experience in commercial roofing estimation with successful project bids.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze roof tech checklists, project documents, blueprints, and plans to prepare precise cost estimates for commercial roofing systems.
• Conduct detailed research on current labor costs, material pricing, and production times, utilizing specialized software for data analysis and accurate forecasting.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks, uncertainties, and hidden costs in project bids and pricing strategies.
• Prepare detailed summaries of the scope of work, cost breakdowns, comprehensive reports, and bid packages.
• Present estimates and scope limitations to clients and internal stakeholders, explaining project costs clearly.
• Coordinate preconstruction handoff meetings to ensure information flows to operational teams.
