Job summary

Nearmap is seeking a Roof & Exterior Measurements SME Consultant to join the REM product team as a fully remote, short-to-mid term contract. This role blends industry expertise with product execution to define measurement standards and QA practices.

You will work with the VP of Product, Engineering, QA, and Operations to shape acceptance criteria, review outputs, and align delivery to Verisk Xactimate and Cotality workflows. Prior roofing/insurance experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years using Verisk Xactimate or Cotality/Symbility in a professional capacity.
• Deep knowledge of residential and commercial property insurance claim workflows.
• Experience interpreting or producing roof measurement reports from third-party sources.
• Familiarity with aerial and oblique imagery for estimates.
• Experience with insurance carriers, TPAs, or restoration contractors.

Responsibilities

• Define measurement standards and acceptance criteria for REM outputs.
• Review photogrammetric/AI outputs for accuracy and edge cases.
• Translate standards into test cases and QA practices for operations.
• Advise on imagery selection and workflows for measurement processes.
• Guide REM output design for Verisk Xactimate and Cotality workflows.
• Collaborate with Sales, GTM, and carrier stakeholders.
