Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Robotics System Architect to lead the overall architecture for autonomous vehicle solutions within the Haulage Unit. You will define system strategies, govern interfaces, and ensure safety and scalability across hardware and software domains.

The role requires 3+ years in architecture roles in robotics or AV/construction, with a strong background in safety-critical systems and cross-functional collaboration. Remote work with travel to sites may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in system/solution architecture roles in robotics/autonomous vehicles or construction.
• Bachelor's or master's in a related engineering/CS field.
• Proven experience designing complex hardware-software integrated systems.
• Knowledge of safety-critical system principles.
• Experience creating requirements docs and diagrams.
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle sensors, control, and comms.
• Awareness of cybersecurity for AV systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain overall system architecture for autonomous vehicle solutions in construction.
• Gather and manage system requirements with traceability.
• Create functional hardware/software diagrams to visualize designs.
• Support Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) for safety and compliance.
• Provide technical expertise during implementation and testing phases.
• Collaborate with Product, System, Safety, and Project Managers.
• Document architecture decisions and technical specifications.
