YO AI Labs is seeking a Robotics & Mechatronics AI Expert to contribute advanced robotics and AI-driven workflows on a remote, contractor basis. You will apply hands-on domain knowledge in robotics, mechatronics, and system design to solve complex engineering problems with AI coding agents such as Codex and Claude suites.

Ideal candidates combine practical robotics experience with strong problem-solving, documentation, and remote collaboration skills to accelerate multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Experience applying robotics/mechatronics to real-world AI-assisted workflows.
• Ability to design, implement, test and document robotics/mechatronics solutions with AI agents.
• Proven track record using AI coding agents for multi-step code sequences and workflow automation.
• Strong communication and independent remote collaboration in engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and solve practical robotics and mechatronics problems using advanced AI coding agents.
• Design, implement, test, and document solutions to robotics and mechatronic systems.
• Demonstrate AI agent applications to complex, large-scale engineering problems.
• Use AI agents for navigating codebases, debugging, developing features, and optimizing workflows.
• Document agent-driven workflows with context, decisions, prompts, and outcomes.
• Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, reliability, and maintainability.
• Provide written and verbal feedback on AI agent performance and limitations.
• Share real-world examples of end-to-end feature development and system design.
• Collaborate remotely with stakeholders to identify AI-assisted development opportunities.
