Job summary

Qualifications

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for in-house hardware, including robotic and automation systems.
• Draft PCB mechanical assembly layouts and component placements.
• Design cable assembly documentation with routing, connectors, and assembly instructions.
• Produce BOMs and assembly drawings with accurate documentation.
• Apply GD&T per drafting standards across drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and labels for in-house hardware products, including robotic and automation systems.
• Produce drawings for machine components, castings, sheet metal, and plastic parts.
• Draft PCB mechanical layouts showing component placements and connectors.
• Design comprehensive cable assembly documentation with routing and specs.
• Deliver high-quality design artifacts: component and assembly drawings and BOMs.
• Apply GD&T to all drawings and docs.
• Process ECOs and other change orders to support updates.
• Maintain and update BOMs across product lines.
• Manage design data in PDM/PLM with version control.
