Job summary

Brooks Automation is seeking a detail-oriented Designer / CAD Drafter to support mechanical design and documentation. You will translate concepts into accurate 3D models and drawings, apply GD&T, and release documentation through Agile PLM while working closely with a Principal Engineer.

The role requires 5+ years of CAD drafting experience, proficiency in Creo Parametric or SolidWorks, and strong attention to detail to ensure quality and compliance across drawings, BOMs, and assemblies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a CAD Drafter or Designer.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and mechanical drawing practices.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric or SolidWorks; ability to create detailed part and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for components and assemblies.
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14 standards; generate BOMs and exploded views.
• Prepare drawing packages for manufacturing, inspection, and assembly; release documents in Agile PLM.
