Job summary

Berkshire Grey is seeking an Engineering Manager in Bedford, MA to lead a team of software engineers in robotics and AI initiatives. You will oversee sprint planning, cross-team coordination, and ensure successful demonstrations and field deployments.

The role requires a strong technical background in Python/C++, Linux, and robotics, with leadership experience in Agile environments and a focus on product readiness and customer impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 8+ years of software development experience OR Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
• 4+ years of Python or C++ in the SDLC (software development lifecycle).
• 2+ years of experience with Git or similar VCS.
• 4+ years of Linux system programming experience.
• 3+ years in a software technical lead role.
• 4+ years in an Agile software environment.
• 3+ years of robotics, parallel/distributed processing, ML, or hardware control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of software engineers, understanding each member's strengths and focus areas.
• Lead regular meetings with component leads to assess needs and provide support.
• Manage team performance and development of the squad.
• Lead sprints and ensure clear communication of tasks and deadlines.
• Coordinate with adjacent service teams to ensure program success.
• Develop guidance for product manufacturing, commissioning, and deployments.
