Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for a physician practice/ambulatory clinic. The role involves nursing care, triage, and patient education in a remote setting with clinic hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM and some weekend coverage.

The ideal candidate has an ADN (BSN preferred), 1–2 years ambulatory or medical-surgical experience, and an active RN license. Strong EHR skills and care coordination abilities are essential to support chronic disease management.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice is required.
• NCLEX-RN examination successfully completed.
• Ambulatory care nursing experience is preferred (1–2 years).
• AMBER-BC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic.
• Assess patients and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and continuity of care.
